The Friends of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Australia Incorporated
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Australia (The Duke of Ed) is the country's leading youth development
organisation. The Award builds resilience, confidence and motivation in young people, encouraging them to
embrace existing skills, build competencies, try new experiences and overcome personal challenges to improve
their self-perception and ability to reach their goals.
Our vision is that all young people in Australia are empowered to explore their potential and achieve success
through access and participation in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award - we aim to reach out to many thousands of
young people across the nation, offering greater access to disadvantaged youth through disability programs,
juvenile justice programs, and crime prevention programs.
There are thousands of young people who aren't able to access the program due to lack of funding or access. As a
not-for-profit organisation, we need community fundraising support to provide outreach services to these young
people.
